Why consider PDR?

Learn when paintless dent repair may preserve a vehicle’s existing finish and which damage, paint, panel, and access factors can limit the method.

Why do vehicle owners consider PDR?

When appropriate, PDR avoids sanding, body filler, color matching, and repainting by gradually reshaping suitable metal while retaining the existing finish. This makes it worth considering for qualifying hail dents, door dings, minor dents, and creases.

How is PDR different from conventional body repair?

PDR works the existing panel and finish when both remain suitable. Conventional repair may reshape, fill, refinish, or replace a panel. Neither method is automatically correct for every dent; the vehicle condition, repair goal, safety, and realistic outcome determine the recommendation.

When is PDR not the right choice?

Cracked paint, excessive metal stretch, severe deformation, previous repairs, inaccessible construction, or structural concerns may require another method. A direct assessment should identify those limits before work is authorized.

A decision based on the vehicle

PDR should be chosen because it is technically appropriate, not because of a blanket size rule or sales promise. Peak Country evaluates paint, panel material, dent shape, access, previous repair, and the complete vehicle before explaining the available path.
